Majority of new graduates having difficulties to find a job after they graduate. Recruiters are often seeking for different, more specific skills than what they learned in their University. This skill gap results with unsuccessful job interviews. Most of the students without knowing why they got rejected after their job interviews.
Unsuccessful job applications can lead to feelings of inadequacy and lower self-esteem. The constant search for new opportunities results in a loss of time and money each day. It is often unclear if one is on the right career path, leading to burnout, increased stress, and a diminished sense of self-worth.
Micro Mentor leverages AI as a personalised guide, steering individuals towards key skills sought by companies. It offers a tailored roadmap with recommended projects, videos, and topics, along with insights into the job market, including salary expectations and interview preparation suggestions.

Despite having a good understanding of design theory, he doesn't see those skills reflected in the job postings. This leaves him feeling disappointed and frustrated. Even with a master's degree, he's uncertain if he's moving in the right direction. Thomas wishes for more insight into what the industry expects from a "designer."

Help graduates in acquiring the specific skills necessary for securing a job?

Given our collective experience with AI in our research, we concluded that an effective way to leverage AI is by creating an ideal prompt "a fill-in-the-blank template".
 
Users would input details about their preferred industry and job type. AI would then use this information to recommend industry-standard skills for the desired job. Consequently, it would generate a personalised roadmap for users to acquire these skills over a few weeks.
